fuckyeahtattoos: Hi, I’m Sahara and this is my medusa tattoo (outline, unfinished), it was done by Emma Mcdonald at Tattoo Nation in Port Macquarie NSW.  I got this tattoo because its so empowering for women, if you know anything about the Greek gods and goddesses you would know what I’m talking about. Its going to be coloured eventually, and this was taken about a minute after it being completed. Can someone correct me if I’m wrong but, I believe the myth is that Medusa was a human women, then Poseidon raped her and this made some other goddess angry that he had wanted to have sex with her so she turned Medusa into a monster so that a man would never be able to look upon her again. I’m not sure where that story becomes empowering for women?
